Mary McVee

Mary B. McVee is Professor of Literacy Education and Director of the Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction at the University of Buffalo, SUNY. Dr. McVee began her career as an English teacher in China and Hong Kong and earned her PhD from Michigan State University. Her research explores multimodal communication, positioning, teacher reflection, and engineering education for multilingual children. Her most recent book is the Routledge International Handbook of Positioning Theory (McVee, Van Langenhove, Brock, & Christensen).
Artem Zadorozhnyy

Artem Zadorozhnyy, PhD, is a University Grants Committee (UGC)–funded
Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of English Language Education at the
Education University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on computer-assisted
language learning, particularly on informal digital learning of English and digital AI
literacy skills among second language learners. His work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals including Computer-Assisted Language Learning,
ReCALL, and Technology, Knowledge and Learning.
